Amazon.com Buys Touch-Screen Company

If indeed the iPad is to be a Kindle-killer, the Kindle is not going to go easily. In an obvious bid to make sure the Kindle stays relevant, Amazon.com has acquired Touchco, a start-up based in New York that specializes in touch-screen technology.
